Pros:
Shout out to all the homies making the day-to-day, employee-to-employee interaction the only good part about working for this company, because if you don’t laugh together, you’re certainly going to cry together.

Cons:
In this life, we learn that there are good people and there are bad people. At some point it is inevitable that we cross paths with someone that, to their very core, is just a bad person. My first real encounter of this was at Surya. Let me paint the picture of the wonderful leader heading the company. First of all, he is not the smart, hard working businessman who built the company from the ground up with his sweat and tears. No, no, that would be daddy, who then passed it down on a silver platter. Now, imagine an arrogant thirty something year old in an unearned position of authority and you have the president. We’ll call him Napoleon. Now, what does someone who is driven by a perceived handicap do to overcompensate in other aspects? They become a self-proclaimed expert on every subject matter under the sun, of course! Oh, you went to college and studied English? Well Napoleon read a grammar book. You have countless years of experience in advertising? Well Napoleon watched Mad Men. You have extensive knowledge of layout and printing? Well Napoleon took yearbook in high school. So clearly, Napoleon is more knowledgeable and more qualified to do the job that you were hired to do. Nothing would make him happier than if he could clone himself and do every job in the company. Bottom line, he has zero respect for employees. So forget the Golden Rule and get used to “I want my goose to lay golden eggs.” Other charming qualities that come from being the silver spoon fed leader include: yelling in meetings to be the loudest person in the room, hiring all your buddies to fill major roles in the company--even though they are unqualified, and having temper tantrums that lead to firing good people. If this sounds like the type of person you want to work for, I’m sure you’ll fit in great. However, if you have morals, a conscious, or a genuine interest in the betterment of the company rather than personal gains, RUN. Run far and run fast. I promise you the pretty picture they’re painting with the new “state-of-the-art” building is not going to compensate for the awfulness coming from the core of the company, it only trickles down from there.
